A contractor hired us to outsource construction takeoff services for his renovation and expansion project in Texas. Our role was to provide precise and detailed material takeoffs and cost estimates to guide the contractor’s decision-making process throughout the project. 

Scope of Work

The team of certified estimators used specialized software to perform a detailed material takeoff to ensure accurate quantities and material specifications were captured for each aspect of the renovation. We worked with the project architects and engineers to ensure every detail was addressed.  

Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP): Lyle Industries required significant updates to their HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to accommodate new equipment and improve energy efficiency. Our team calculated the materials required for new ductwork, plumbing fixtures, and wiring, ensuring the systems were both functional and cost-effective. 

Demolition and Site Preparation: The project involved extensive demolition of the existing building interiors, including walls, floors, and ceilings, to make space for new workspaces and infrastructure. Excavation and grading were necessary to prepare the site for new building additions. 

Structural Renovations: Major portions of the building required reinforcement to support new structural elements, including steel framing and load-bearing columns. Our estimators provided a detailed breakdown of all materials and labor required for these upgrades. 

Interior Build-Outs: A key component of the renovation was the creation of new office spaces, conference rooms, and break areas. We estimated costs for drywall, flooring, ceiling systems, and specialty finishes that were required to meet Lyle’s modern aesthetic and functionality needs. 

Sustainability Features: The renovation also included the installation of eco-friendly systems, such as solar panels, water-efficient fixtures, and green roofing. These sustainable features were carefully itemized to ensure accurate budgeting.
